Brook moss grows mainly along the waterfront just above the waterline on stone or wood with a small layer of substrate, where it remains moist due to splashing water and / or water that creeps upwards (capillary). This does best kept in the wettest part of terrarium/vivariums. It is a beautiful deep green colored carpet moss(hypnales) that forms flat, dense mats; very usable along waterfalls water dishes , logs, and branches.
