Fine short and hair like, fast spreading when moist; somewhat folded or twisted when dry.
Half inch to one inch tall in lighted areas and over 3" tall in darker or shaded areas of the enclosure.

Can grow in ANY conditions. Hot or Cold, Dry or Wet, Acidic or Alkaline soils, In the Dark or in the light. Even grows in the Antarctic.
