A true jewel! Perhaps the most famous and most sought of all Dyckias over the years. A silvery, narrow leaved plant with many, very spiny leaves in compact, leafy rosettes to 8 inches or so. These are descendants of the original Mulford Foster collection, the plants that started the fascination with Dyckias back in the 1950s.
A small, densely clustering, terrestrialBromeliad native to the Brazilian State of Paran that forms small rosettes of beautifully silvery, spiky leaves. The unbranched, erect inflorescences produce pretty orange flowers. Hardy to drought and some cold, it is best grown on well drained ground in the warm temperate or tropical garden in USDA Zones 9 and above.
