Halved Banksia Grandis cone from Australia. The Banksia cone is halved lengthwise and has a length of approx. 14-20cm. The longitudinal section reveals the really impressive inner life of the Banksia Grandis cone. Occasionally the open seed chambers are exposed through the cut. Banksia Grandis cones are very hard and are often used for turning. The halved Banksia cone is mainly used for decoration.
