Named for its natural habitat, Cape Town, South Africa, this plant grows vigorously and produces rather large leaves at maturity. Each leaf is covered with sticky gooey dew. When an fly lands on it, the leaf slowly curls around it to get the most out of the insect. Look for purple flowers as the plant matures.
As a mountainous species, this plant likes a very sunny window with mild temperatures. It may slow down significantly during the hottest parts of summer, but watch it take off again when the weather cools down.
